Supplements are a hot topic, especially this time of year & we definitely have our favorites! Remember, a supplement is just that! A supplement to a super healthy diet. We'd love for you to get as many vitamins & minerals as you can from your foods, which means eating as many veggies & fruits as you can (800g a day would be ideal!), but there will still be some gaps & these are a few of our favorites to fill in!
Vital Proteins Collagen:we love this blended in our coffee in the morning for a little protein boost & great supplement for our hair, skin, nails & joints.
Amazing Grass Green Superfood: as we said above, real food is best, but it is hard to get ALL the green foods we need in a day & this is a great supplement to boost your micronutrient intake, add some natural energy, & just feel better all day long. Its also great on the road.
Calm Magnesium Supplement: this is one of our all time faves! Magnesium is such a great supplement for women & low magnesium can contribute to type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, migraines, sleep issues, anxiety, depression & cramping just to name a few. Calm tastes delicious & is a great pre-bedtime cocktail (especially if you're forgoing alcohol!) to help you relax before bed & sleep better throughout the night!
Fish Oil:we have a few favorite brands in this category but the SFH delivers the highest amount of EPA/DHA (the most important ingredients) per serving of the other brands we've used. These Omega-3 fatty acids are great for brain health, joint health, mood regulation & more! We also likeCarlson Labs.
Ashwaganda: another favorite, ashwaganda is in the family of adaptogenic herbs, meaning that they help us with adapting to our (typically stressful) circumstances. Ashwaganda can help us to relax & decrease our anxiety levels. We're a big fan of that!
